The combination of ELECTROTEST testing frames with IBERTEST software & control modules and adequate testing fixtures guides to excellence in materials testing.

Thanks to the versatility and free testing distances, depending on the testing devices and maximum capacity of load cells incorporated, these machines are particularly adequate for the following type of tests:

ADVANTAGES

  • Automatic positioning, via software, of the mobile crosshead to an initial position fixed for serial or repetitive tests.

MAIN FEATURES

Control system by means of the MD2 control unit, with closed loop control for displacement and strain.

Strength measuring system by means of universal load cell (tensile – compressive testing) with high precision and repeatability extensometric bands

Displacement measuring system: by means of an encoder (digital pulse transducer) located on the motor axis, with an accuracy of +/- 0,005% of the maximum speed (resolution 0.001 mm).

Displacement speed: programmable between 0.005 and 500.00 mm/min.

arrow electrotest Connecting the control unit to a PC with WINTEST software you can operate with the following functions:

Cycles: programmable, via software, by keyboard with control by previously established sections (loading / unloading rate or positive / negative displacement, maintenance time and initial and final values of load and displacement). The complete sequence of the sections (cycle) will be repeated as many times as programmed by the user.

Report generator: Automatic creation of reports configured by the user himself, including the same graphs obtained in the test and the statistic graphs importing the BMP files.

Statistics: enables to display tests per families, data as well as diagrams, to calculate the average values and the typical deviation on all the data of the selected files and generate graphs and comparison diagrams, (histogram by bar diagram, Gauss distribution chart, results sampling, comparison of test curves by overlapping them and three-dimensional comparison diagrams (in strips, in volumes), etc. Once the diagrams are generated as desired, it is possible to print them or save them as a BMP file.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

TESTING FRAME

Manufactured according to the UNE-7-474-92, DIN-51221, 51223, 51227, 51228, BS-1610 and EN-10002-2 (1990) standards.

The testing frame includes:

  • A table or bedplate, where the servomotor, with a reducer, the transmission, the guided columns and the spindles are located.
  • This bedplate houses the basic plate where the lower gripping head or the different testing devices possibly included in this machine are mounted.
  • Two high precision screw balls and two guided columns, coated in rustproof hard chromium.. Both elements (columns and screw balls) are mounted in diagonal, to ensure an optimum division on loads in the testing frame and an absolutely linear displacement of the mobile crosshead. They also include scrapers to avoid dust on the screw balls. The columns and screw balls are hidden behind “U” shaped metallic housings.

  • A mobile crosshead, displaced by the movement of screw balls and guided by the columns. A low profile universal load cell (tensile – compression testing) and the testing devices are mounted on it.

  • An upper crosshead closes the testing frame and increases its rigidity.

ADVANTAGES OF THE TESTING FRAME
  • Large and comfortable testing frame, over dimensioned and with a high structural rigidity with two guided columns and two screw balls to ensure an optimum division on loads in the testing frame and a linear displacement of the mobile crosshead.
  • The different materials testing devices are totally interchangeable, with no need to move the load cell. These devices can be mounted by the user himself in a few seconds, thanks to a standardised attachment system.
  • End of stroke of the mobile crosshead.
  • Automatic positioning, via software, of the mobile crosshead to an initial position fixed for serial or repetitive tests.
  • Cyclic tests between prefixed limits or with control in prefixed sections, in strength (via software with the keyboard) or displacement (by means of adjustable mechanic limits or programmed via software with the keyboard).
  • Wide range of speeds (0.005 and 500.00 mm/min). Other possible speeds on demand.
  • Displacement measure by encoder (digital pulse transducer) with a resolution of 0.001 mm.
  • Enables the use of equipments for tests at high and low temperatures, with no need of modifications thanks to the large dimensions of the testing frame

LOAD MEASURING SYSTEM

Universal strain gauge load cell (tension compression), high precision and repeatability. Same capacity as the maximum load of the testing frame.

The quality of the load cells used, guarantees the 1 class according to ISO 7500-1 within the measuring range (1 to 100% of the nominal capacity).

The data obtained in the load cell is used for two applications: test results and to allow the MD series control system to calculate the kN/sec load speed.

Additional load cells could be installed, to increase the load measuring capacity or for special applications. Anyhow, the 1 class is always assured.

DISPLACEMENT MEASURING SYSTEM

By means of a resolver which allows a 0,001 mm displacement resolution.

The data obtained in the resolver is used for two applications: test results and to allow the MD series control system to calculate the mm/min crosshead displacement speed.

ACCESORIES INCLUDED AS STANDARD DELIVERY

  • 1 x Set of gripping heads with clamping jaws for round specimen of 10 to 30 mm diameter and prismatic specimen of up to 30 mm thickness.
  • 1 x IB-EBC 50/5 Extensometer with clamps to measure strain on the specimen in tensile tests. Lo = 50 mm. Class 1 as per UNE-EN ISO 9513 in the measuring range. Measuring capacity: 5 mm. Measuring range: from 2 to 100%.
  • 1 x set of compression plates.
  • 1 x Bending device: Distance between supports: 300 mm. Support rollers dimensions: 150 x 30 mm (length x diameter). Punch dimensions: 80 x 20 mm (length x diameter).
