TESTING FRAME: DESCRIPTION

Composed by:

  • Lower frame: steel manufactured. Housing the piston-sleeve set. Base of the testing frame.
  • Pre-stressed columns: for reaching the maximum stiffness to accomplish widely the EN 12390-4 standard, regarding undeformability of testing frames at full load.
  • Upper crosshead, steel manufactured. Closing the test frame and increasing the stiffness of the testing frame.

Final Total deformation of the testing frame at full load is lower than 1mm

  • Piston-sleeve set: the mobile sleeve system guarantees the perfect axial load. This set is mounted by means of bridles for a correct centering.
  • Piston: rectified steel manufactured. Leak-proof by means of a high pressure, low friction, sealing joint.
  • Compression plates (superior and inferior). Two steel rectified and tempered compression plates acting as compression elements.
    Contact surfaces according EN 12390-4:
    • Hardness higher than ≥ 550 HV30.
    • Flatness:
    • Rugosity: between 0,4 and 3,2 μmaccording to ISO/R 468
    The upper compression plate is mounted over a ball-and-socket joint, oil lubricated. Lower plate with diagonal and circular centering marks, for a correct sample positioning.
  • Anti-projections screen: polycarbonate perimetral protection, with front door. High resistance to projections impact.
  • An added safety protection is included in the door. An electrical switch stops the machine working if the door is open.
  • Disposal tray. Mounted over the piston. Facilitates the retirement of the tests disposals.

CLOSED LOOP CONTROLLED HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

The hydraulic group is placed in the secondary frame which also houses the MC8W control module.

Water tight, noise and pollution prevention design, allowing placing the machine anywhere in the laboratory.

Steel manufactured, 50 mm thickness, needed for those tests over samples with height lower than 300 mm.

These spacing blocks are placed over the load piston, under the lower compression plate.

Designed with a self centering shape, with handles for a comfortable movement.

RECTANGULAR COMPRESSION PLATES 450 X 300 mm

For prismatic samples testing, aside the standardized cylindrical ones (concrete block, bricks, etc).

These compression plates are steel rectified and tempered manufactured. Suface hardness higher than 550 HV30.

Lower plate with diagonal and circular centering marks, for a correct sample positioning.

The upper compression plate is mounted over a ball-andsocket joint.

NOTE: these plates must be mounted in our factory replacing the circular supplied as standard delivery.

LOWER COMPRESSION PLATE ELEVATION DEVICE
To facilitate the retirement of the rectangular compression plate of 450 x 300 mm (for example for introducing spacing blocks), its heavy weight complicates the handling.

This manual operated system, placed in the back side of the machine, allows the easy and fast elevation of the lower compression plate.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT MC8W

Microprocessed 32 bits electronic module with floatting comma calculating unit, working at 800 Mhz clock frequency.

Developed for autonomous working.

Designed for test data acquisition and close loop control.

Languages: English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. Reports could be generated in any other language as well.

Network connectivity: Possibility of being remote PC controlled for test configuration and data reading by means of Ethernet 10/100Mbps (RJ45) or Wi-Fi.

SOFTWARE, FOR STATIC TEST UNDER WINDOWS, WINTEST.HOR

The control module is fully managed by the WINTEST32 software.

Allows testing conguration and execution as well as a later data management.

The software has been specially adapted to this machine, including double working possibility:

Simple mode: for productivity increasing enabling quick and repetitive tests process. Configuration steps have been reduced to the minimum. Especially useful for test over same material samples.

Full mode: the user could use all the power of WINTEST software.
Easy change from working modes
When the module is working on remote mode, the controller PC is capable of carrying out the same actions as if the user were in front of the module.
