AUTOMATIC HORIZONTAL JOLTING TABLE

Standards: EN 196-1 and ASTM C-348 standards

Jolting table for 40 x 40.1 x 160 mm cement mortar specimens

APPLICATIONS

This device consists on a rectangular table connected by two lightweight arms to a rotating shaft located 800 mm from the middle of the table. Attached to the middle underside of this table there is a round-headed  power hammer which rests on a flat-topped anvil. Whenever the power hammer is resting on the anvil, the upper side of the jolting table is completely horizontal.

The attachment system consists in 2 articulated joint studs of rapid action, and attaches the mould and hopper to the table.

The table (including the arms), empty mould, hopper and studs have a total weight of 20.0±0.5 kg.
The rotating shaft is equipped with ball bearings and is dust and moisture-proof. When the jolting table is moving, the table is lifted by a cam, driven by an electric motor with a speed reducer, and falls from a height of 15.0±0.3 mm between the power hammer and the anvil.

The cam moves at a constant 60 rpm speed. This ensures the number of drops per minute specified by the standards.

  • Power supply: Single phase 220 V + T, 50 - 60 Hz.

The jolting table bearing plates must be attached to the ground at the same level as the concrete base plate with anchoring bolts. A thin layer of mortar must be placed between the plates and the base plate to ensure full, vibration-free contact.

NOTE: As specified by EN 196-1 standards, the jolting table must be firmly attached to an anti-vibration concrete bedplate isolated from the rest of the path. The whole base of the bedplate must rest on sheet of rubber of minimum 10 mm thickness and 50±5 a DIDC hardness (international degree of rubber hardness, see standard UNE 53-549).

AP SERIES CONTROL SYSTEM

The new AP series electronic system controls the number of drops per minute. ap2_module-control_system

The module is wall mounted, it can be fixed on the metallic frame of the device, on the sound proof cabinet (it has a magnetic clamping) or on the wall or on the concrete support. The electric connection with the device is done through a cable with a 1.5 m protection pipe.

The module is adjusted to 60 drops per minute in our facilities. The user can act on an internal switch to adequate this device to any standard in the world and/or research test implying a change in the frequency of the drops. The electronic system includes memory and the possibility to erase it.
