COMPUTERISED AUTOMATIC INSTALLATION Mod. CIB MD2-W

According to standards: EN 196-1, EN 1015-11, ISO 679, ASTM C109, C349, C348

The key element for cement laboratories for cement strength calculation

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
  • Specially designed for serial tests on cement factories or mills and quality control laboratories.
  • To be used with: cement mortar, hardened mortar, ceramic, refractories and other similar products.
Depending on the machine model, following samples could be tested

PRISMATICS

40 x 40,1 x 160 mm,
compression & bending,
as per EN 196-1,
ASTM C348, 349, etc.

CUBIC

50 mm or 2'' compression,
as per ASTM C109.

CYLINDRICAL

50 mm diam x 50 mm height
(cold compression of
firebrick specimens)..

MAIN ADVANTAGES

  • New design, more functional and attractive.
  • Aluminum frame, stainless steel working space, steel plate side panels painted with epoxy resin.
  • More compact, lower dimensions and lower weight
  • Total frontal accessibility to all the inner elements (CPU, hydraulic system, electric cabinet...).
  • Totally free sides to place it between the laboratory furniture orother machines. Less space is then required in the laboratory.
  • High rigidity testing frame, with base plates and steel crossheads, chromate and ground guide columns.
  • Safety protections in testing frames made of transparent polycarbonate, highly resistant to impact and front doors with a security electric location which avoids the operation if the door is opened.
  • Quick extraction system of broken specimen by means of a collection tray with toboggan, located in the compression area, with direct fall to a waste wagon placed inside the frame. This wagon as wheels and can be removed from the front door integrated in the frame.

TESTING AREA DESCRIPTION

Compact design with one testing frame incorporated The machine is formed by one testing areas placed on the same frame. The hydraulic group and the control computer are located inside the frame, reducing laboratory space requirements.

The monitor, keyboard and printer (optional accessory) are installed on the worktop, at one side of the two testing areas.

COMPRESSION AREA

  • Main columns. The tests frame has two columns made in chromium-plated and rectified barcompression area autotest
  • Upper crosshead. The upper crosshead is to close the upper part of the testing frame providing a high level rigidity. In its lower part the load cell can be assembles together with the upper compression plate.
  • Base plate. The group piston-sleeve is assembled in this piece. The lower plate is assembled over the piston as well as the waste collection tray resulting from the concrete compression tests.
  • Piston-sleeve group. The piston finishing is chromium-plated/rectified. The water tightness on the sleeve is guaranteed through a high pressure and low friction joint.
  • Compression plates. Two plates are available as compression elements, which are described below:
    • Upper plate: The upper plate is assembled through turn on the load cell and will be the transmitter of the force to the mentioned transducer. It is made of hardened steel.
    • Lower plate: The lower plate is assembled on the piston and is the one giving the force to the upper plate through the compression device.
  • Waste-carrier. It is the dump which serves to collect the material waste once the compression process of a specimen is finished. This dump is placed in the lower part of the compression area, where you can enter through the frame’s frontal door. It is recommended to send to the back area the specimen’s rests with the help of a brush, so that they are poured through the hopper waste from the waste collecting tray to the waste-carrier.
  • Protection against projections. The security device is formed by a rotatory transparent screen with an electric security closing, which forbids the equipment’s functioning if the protection screen is opened.
  • End of stroke detector. As a security element the machine includes an end of stroke to avoid the piston going out of its guide in an excessive stroke.

BENDING AREA

  • Main columns. The tests frame has two columns made of chromium-plated and rectified bar. Thebending area autotest columns are threaded on their endings to fix them to the upper crosshead with two nuts and to the piston’s sleeve.
  • Upper crosshead. It is the closing device of the testing frame. The load cell is assembled in its lower part.
  • Base plate. In this part is assembled the piston-sleeve group and it is fixed to the machine’s frame through Allen screws.
  • Bending bridge. The bridge is assembled directly on the load piston and receives the force through it. It is formed by two rollers of 10mm diameter over which the specimen will be supported, and one top carpenter’s square to place the specimen such that it receives the load in its central part. The bending bridge includes an anti-rotation system, which centers it in relation to the piston.
  • Piston-sleeve group. The piston’s function is to transfer the generated force to the specimen. The piston sleeve group is assembled over the base plate with three Allen screws. The piston is made of chromium-plated /rectified steel. The water tightness over the sleeve is guaranteed through a high pressure and low friction joint. The working pressure is of 250 bars.
  • Load roller. The load roller is placed in the lower part of the load cell which is joined to the upper crosshead. This roller, the same as one of the support rollers, is articulated to allow a uniform load distribution on the specimen’s transversal section, without subjecting it to torque efforts.
  • End of stroke detector. As a security element the machine includes an end of stroke to avoid the piston going out of its guide in an excessive stroke.
  • Protection anti splashing. The safety device is composed by a Makrolon door with a safety electric close system, which avoids the machine to work if the anti splashing door is opened.
