EXTENSOMETERS UNTIL SPECIMEN FRACTURE
According to standards: Class 0.5 (EN-10.002-4)
To test specimens until break point.
IB/MFL300
Axial extensometer to test specimens until break point, servo-motorised with closed loop control and automatic calibration and zeroing.
Completely computer controlled with L0 position chosen and test piece clamping (opening and closing) carried out totally automatically.
Extremely low clamping force on specimens (25 cN).
- Class 0.5 (EN-10.002-4)along the entire travel.
- Measurement principle: opto-incremental.
- Standard L0 supplied: from 10 to 300 mm (chosen on PC)
- Maximum travel: 300 mm (optionally 500 mm).
- Specimen dimensions:
- Flat up to 30 x 50 m.
- Round: up to 80 mm diameter
- Activating force: <1 cN.
- Approx. weight: 30 Kg.
It needs a special mechanical support to be fixed to the materials testing machine.
Latest generation extensometer, with an exceptional precision in all measuring range that allows universal use.
IB/MFN-A
Axial extensometer to test specimens until break point with clamping (opening and closing) and setting at the preset L0 (by mechanical calibrated and inter-changeable limiters) either manually or automatically.
In the automatic version the opening and closing of the measuring arms as well as their setting at the preset L0 by means of interchangeable limits is carried out by an electrically activated motor and all these functions are controlled from a PC.
- Class 0.5 according to EN 10.002/4
- L0 = 50 m (optionally 10 – 15 – 20 – 25 – 30 – 40 – 60 – 70 – 80 – 90 - 100 – 150 – 200 – 220 and 300 mm)
- Specimen dimensions:
- Flat: up to 30 x 70 mm
- Round: up to 30 mm diameter (optionally up to 60 mm).
- Activating force: 80 cN.
- Weight approx: 15 kg.
It is a combination of two extensometers with two measuring paths:
- Short measuring path(up to 4 mm). Measurement principle: full bridge strain gauge.
- Long measuring path (up to 500 mm and optionally up to 800 mm). Measurement principle: potentiometric.
Especially indicated for the determination of yield points and Young’s modulus with a high precision and very reduced L0 (from 10 mm) as well as for recording long extensions under maximum load and to the breakage of the specimen.
It needs a special mechanical articulate (folding) support for it to be fixed to the testing machine to allow the removal of the extensometer from the area of work.
IB/MFN-B
Axial extensometer until break point that only includes the long measuring path (500 mm and optionally up to 800 mm).
Class 1 EN 10.002/4.
Especially indicated for elastomers and other large extension materials.
IB/MFN-C
Axial extensometer until break point that only includes the short measuring path (4 mm).
Class 0.2 (EN10.002/4).
Especially recommended for the determination of yield points and Young’s modulus as well as elongation at maximum load and at break point whenever these occur within the range of measurement (4 mm).
IB/MFN-D
Digital version of the extensometer until break point IB/MFN. This version incorporates a sole measurement stage of 300 mm instrumented with a Sony digital system.
Class 1 (EN 10.002/4) in all the measurement range (300 mm).
Like all the IB/MFN models, the positioning (via exchangeable calibrated limiters) as well as the opening and closing of the measurement arms can be manual or automatic.
All of the IB/MFN models can be supplied with special measuring arms to allow them to be used in climatic chambers (temperatures from –80ºC to +250ºC)
