X-RAY FLUORESCENCE SPECTROMETER MODEL THERMO OPTIM'X

Standards: IEC 1010-1 and EC 950 (electrical and protection). OraP (CH) radiation (totally protected system), 414.501 and BGB1.l standards. Electro-magnetic immunity: CENELEC EN 5008 1-2 and EN 50082-2 (industrial).

Wavelength dispersive X-Ray fluorescente spectrometer (WDXRF) is the unique patform with sequential and/or simultaneous analysis of elements from Fluorine to Uranium both in solid or liquid samples.
MAIN FEATURES
  • Spectrometer: Made of cast iron, it includes a temperature control system.
  • Selectable environment for the spectrometer: The spectrometer chamber can be used both air and vacuum for solids, helium for liquid samples and loose powders.
  • Analytical capacity for the spectrometer: Simultaneous configuration: four Multichromators (TM). Sim-seq configuration: one SmartGonio + one Multichromator; each Multichromator is composed of two fixed channels.
  • Generador and X ray tube: X-ray tube with Rh anode end (Pd as option) and Be window of 75μm thin. The tube is placed behind the sample surface and with an angle of 66º. Power generator is in solid state and high frequency to give up to 50 W in combinations up to 50 KV and 2 mA. Maximum line voltage variation must be lower than -15% or +10% over the needed 220 V. Stability of the output power is better than 0,2% for a variation of 1% in the voltage network.
  • Multichromators (TM): Fixed detectors with multiple curved crystals are used for the simultaneous analysis of the selected elements and materials. Sealed detectors available for all the elements from sodium. Some elements must be installed like independent monochromators.
  • Smart Gonio (TM): Fully automatic and gearless compact goniometer. It uses optical encoders to control the displacements of the crystals (2) and installed detectors (2). Total angle range from 0 to 150º 2θ (scintillation counter from 0 to 90º; flow proportional counter from 17 to 150º). Continuous digital scans can be made by increments from 0,25º/min to 320º/min.
  • Counting electronics for measuring: Multi-channel analyzer to discriminate peaks of higher energies with:
    • Automatic Gain Control (AGC).
    • Automatic dead time correction ensures linearity of response up to 2Mcps on flow proportional counter and 1.5 Mcps on scintillation counter.
  • Sample loading: Basic: One position for solid or liquid samples. Optional can be installed a holder for 12 casettes (16 for liquid samples cassettes)

  • Sample holder cassettes: Sample cassettes have enough measures to place inside samples up to 20 mm high x 52 mm diameter. Sample cassettes used for liquid analysis are 22 mm high x 44 mm external diameter. Exposed opening diameter is 29 mm (Standard). Rotation of sample holder in analysis position: 6 to 60 r.p.m.
  • Dimensions and weight of the equipment:
    • 128cm height, 82cm depth and 70cm width, with the basic sample holder..
    • Weight: Approx. 250Kg.

  • Necessary supplies:
    • Power requirements: Single phase 220 V, Power supply, 1.5KVA, Independent grounding.
    • Ar-CH4 gas supply for the FPC detector, with hand regulador and manometer for 0-1 bar.
  • Results Thermo Optimx
